I get this trying to implement thsi Webpart on WSS 3.0.

The "RSSReader" Web Part appears to be causing a problem. That assembly does not allow partially trusted callers

This is a Sharepoint security message; to allow "Partially trusted callers" you must change the security on Web.config. and easy fix is to change this property.

<trust level="WSS_Minimal" originUrl="" />

to

<trust level="Full" originUrl="" />

Thank you

Any way to limit the # of items?  It is a bit overwhelming.

Is this for WSS 3.0 only as well?

I am trying to use this webpart on WSS 3.0, but after following the read me file it does not tell how to make the webpart appear.
I tried importing the DWP file also but got an error Unable to add selected web part(s). Cannot import this Web Part.

The web part should appear in your list of web parts, when you modify a page that has web parts, simply select "Add a Web Part". The RSS Reader should appear as one of your options. The DWP file should not be imported directly

Does this WP support authenticated feeds? I have NTLM authentication enabled, will the RSS reader webpart prompt if I'm accessing Sharepoint list content?

I keep getting a command line error when running the stsadm.exe parameters.  I know my syntax is correct and I am using  Wss  3.0.  Any idears?

I would suggest adding a way to allow multiple RSS feeds, aggregate into one module.  Also, it's nerve racking to handle the placements via the "Zone Index".  This comes into particular handiness when you have multiple RSS modules on one page, when creating a sort of news site.

If I can't do
<trust level="Full" originUrl="" />
because of other security reasons,
Is there any other way to add trust to the web part?

Installation was ok. Added the webpart to my homepage. Now it keeps saying "Please provide a valid RSS url" Tried different URL's. (i.e. http://www.microsoft.com/feeds/msdn/en-us/rss.xml).
Am I doing something wrong?

specs: Win 2003, WSS 3.0, framework 2.0
